"Zach Lewis was great to work with and after explaining my situation he was great to show me the van I wanted to look at and drive. He didn't pressure me and did what I wanted which made this experience great! I will use Zach again in the future when I want to trade in our Jeep Grand Cherokee. He is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Great job Zach!" 9/1/2011
2011 Dodge Dakota Des Moines
The 2011 Dodge Dakota is a mid-size pickup truck that is available in either extended or crew cab body styles, each of which has only one bed size. The 2011 Dakota, Dodge's mid-sized truck, now gets standard side-curtain airbags and four-wheel anti-lock brakes on all trims. Also for 2011, the Dakota receives two new exterior colors: Hunter Green Pearl and Deep Cherry Red Crystal Pearl. Although the Dakota may be overshadowed by its bigger and more popular sibling, the Ram, this pickup truck offers many reasons for buyers to choose it, rather than its other competitors in the segment. First off, the Dakota is one of only two compact or mid-size trucks available with a V-8 engine. The base power plant is a V-6. Both cabs are available in three trims: ST, Big Horn/Lone Star and Laramie. The TRX4 off-road package is offered only in 4x4 models. Also the Dakota's strongest selling points are its size and capability. Maximum towing capacity is 7,250 pounds, and all V-8 models are rated to tow at least 5,500 pounds. Four trim levels are offered, from the base ST to the Big Horn, TRX4 and Laramie trim levels. The TRX4 and Laramie models are only available as crew cabs.

2011 Dodge Dakota DesignIowa Dodge TruckThe Dodge Dakota is the perfect size for many pickup truck consumers; it's not too small or too big. The Dodge Dakota is a handsome truck, with edges that are crisp and the styling elements are well-integrated. The cargo bed has chiseled wheel flares to match the aggressive front end. The Dakota looks good with either the chrome grille or monochromatic finishes. The Dakota recieved an exterior facelift in the 2008 model year, and since then has not changed much. The 2011 Dakota shares its styling themes with the full-size Dodge Ram and Durango SUV. All three share the retro big-rig grille motif and bulging fenders that have become trademarks of the Dodge Truck brand. Still, Dakota boasts sharper, crisper lines and flatter planes than its relatives; and its grille is laid back, not vertical. The front fender lines are deliberately extended halfway along the length of the door. The rear fenders reflect the fronts with bulges that extend all the way to the rear of the truck. The intersection of the front fenders with the multi-element, twin-lens headlamps and raked grille makes the whole design work beautifully.
Conclusions While the Dakota is behind the curve in offering advanced features, the truck has a solid chassis and body structure. Side curtain airbags and four-wheel anti-lock brakes are now standard for the 2011 model year. Electronic stability control is still not available, but the Enhanced Accident Response system will turn on interior lights, unlock doors and shut off the fuel pump should the airbags deploy. The 2011 Dakota's interior design is mostly straightforward. Switchgear is where you'd expect it to be, while the climate controls and the standard stereo are easy to use. The standard bench seats are very comfortable, while the available power seats offer a wealth of adjustability. The crew cab's comfy backseat bottom features a 60/40 split, and when raised provides a flat loading surface. Want to learn more? Visit the official Dodge Dakota website for more information.
