"Zach Lewis was great to work with and after
explaining my situation he was great to show me the van I wanted to look
at and drive. He didn't pressure me and did what I wanted which made
this experience great! I will use Zach again in the future when I want
to trade in our Jeep Grand Cherokee. He is very knowledgeable and easy
to work with. Great job Zach!"

2011 Dodge Charger Des Moines
The next generation of the Dodge Charger has arrived. While many of Chrysler LLC, which includes Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, models will possibly get axed, the Charger is already on schedule to continue through 2011. The 2011 Dodge Charger is made in Brampton alongside the 300C and possibly the Challenger or 200. The Charger has been redesigned for 2011, and changes include more aggressive exterior styling, a revised interior and a new base V-6. A new focus in the 2011 Charger design will be aerodynamics. It will be built on a new platform, which will slightly change the dimensions. Furthermore, the Charger will shed some pounds to help attain higher mpg numbers. Besides this, the 2011 Dodge Charger should remain familiar fare, though new cabin and safety technologies will help it keep up with the market. Chrysler calls the Charger design a four-door fastback, but the new Charger could also be called a Coke-bottle coupe. Its roofline looks like a coupe and its hourglass Coke-bottle figure has been nicely accentuated in 2011, pinched by six inches, with scallops on the sides and wide front and rear fenders. Active head restraints, acoustic windshield, dual-zone climate control, daytime running headlamps, a trunk lid liner, glovebox lamp, keyless go remote keyless passive entry, 1-touch up and down front windows, remote fuel door release, and more have been made standard equipment on all trims for 2011.
Powering the ?11 Charger2011 Dodge Charger IAChrysler?s new-design ?Pentastar? V6 in 3.6-liter form is the engine of choice for 2011. The new V6 gives base models both improved performance and better fuel economy. The 5.7-liter MDS Hemi V8 returns with a few tweaks. In between is an updated version of Chrysler?s 4.7-liter V8 as a new Charger choice. The real Charger, the R/T, has always been available with the big Hemi V8, still pulling 370 horsepower and offering the throatiest rumble in town. It's available with a 6-speed manual gearbox that was built for the Viper. The all-new V6 is the big news, a huge bonus to the car, as the 2011 Charger will carry history forward. Chrysler's line of double-overhead-cam, variable-valve-timing Pentastar V6 engines made its debut in 2011, planned for many more models by 2014, when turbocharging and direct injection will be the standard for cars like the Charger.
2011 Dodge Charger Design
The new crosshair grille is darker and squared more, upfront as the Charger has always been. The front overhang is radically truncated, making the car look in profile as if speed is all that matters. The aluminum hood bulges. In designing the ?11 Charger, aerodynamics were a top priority as automakers must find ways to make their models reach the federally mandated fuel economy guidelines. The Charger is less boxy, as this will improve both noise and gas mileage. The next generation Charger merges the styling of the current version with a more classic look from the famous 1968 Chargers, one of the most stylish vehicles ever built. This includes integrated front tail-light but separate rear tail-light. The redesigned 2011 model raises the sedan's meanness factor. It all starts up front with a restyled grille that has a lot more tension in its design and that contributes to the furrowed look of the headlights. Much of the sheet metal is new as well, with hood and door scallops that provide more visual interest.
Inside the ChargerDes Moines 2011 Dodge ChargerFor 2011, the Dodge Charger will get an updated cabin space. It features a simple, spacious design with plenty of head and legroom. A new thick-rimmed and smaller three-spoke steering wheel sets the tone that the Charger means business. The new interior materials are soft and the edges rounded, replacing an unimaginative dashboard design having unpopular plastic trim. An aluminum instrument panel now treats the driver. The seats are relatively comfortable, the only complaint being the flat cushions allow occupants to slide during aggressive cornering; some more bolstering would help. The Dodge Charger is easy to get in and out of, the trunk is usefully sized and shaped, but a relatively small opening makes loading bulky objects difficult.
Driving the Charger
The Charger is a fun to drive vehicle with linear steering and good road feel with good stability at highway speeds. The new chassis uses advanced steels, nylon composites with Chrysler's second-generation rear-wheel-drive E-segment architecture, to achieve very high structural stiffness and torsional strength, which contributes to tighter handling and safety, as well as 15 percent improved visibility out the windshield. Early reports are that the ride is both more solid and more comfortable. V8 models negotiate rainy roads without undue slip. The Charger is sold with a decent list of safety technologies. These include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. A Road/Track Performance Package will be available on the R/T trim; it includes 20-inch wheels, performance suspension, and heated front seats. For fuel economy, the SRT8 averages 14.3 mpg in city driving, 16.9 in mostly highway driving. The V6 should reach around 25 mpg for highway drive. Dodge recommends regular-grade gas for the 2.7 V6, 89-octane for the 3.5-liter V6. Premium-grade gas is recommended for both V8 engines.
